Michael Robinson

Michael is the Managing Director of LGCA, a company founded to address the unique procurement needs of Local and State Government. With his vast experience working with government agencies and councils, Michael recognised the need for specialised procurement services tailored to the requirements of this sector.

Michael is a trusted procurement consultant with a focus on delivering high-quality services. With years of experience working with government agencies and councils, he has honed his skills in procurement strategy, capability reviews, high-value/high-risk market engagements, and training in procurement and contract management.

His credentials include being a CIPS Certified Trainer of all Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) short courses and corporate award programs. He has delivered the CIPS Corporate Award program globally — including for Mitsubishi Fuso in Tokyo. In recognition of his work, Michael was awarded Fellow of the International Association for Contract Commercial Management (IACCM) in 2016 (now WCC).

Michael has completed the Probity Services Accreditation Course (Resolution Institute), is a Graduate of the Company Directors Course, and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (G-AICD). He is a Justice of the Peace for NSW and was formerly a Director at Moore Park Golf Club, responsible for governance and corporate oversight.

He won the NSW Local Government Procurement Professional Award in 2012 for his work developing procurement processes for councils. Committed to professional development, Michael continues to seek new opportunities to share his knowledge and grow his expertise.
